Diabetic Parenting Begins

This morning I have been pondering over the day our daughter was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. It was the most horrible day the two of us have shared in this life. Remembering the Doctors saying, "IF, your daughter lives through the night she will live with Diabetes for the rest of her life." The words no parent wants to hear about their 8 yr old. That night for us has been almost 18 years ago now. She is now grown and married. The experiences we shared through those years were ones of tears, heart breaks, growth, joy, and love. Sounds like a normal child's growing up right? Well, yes, we did the best we could to create a "normal" life for her and us as possible. Needless to say, here we are today. Today brings a desire and passion for me to share our experience and help you through your experience of parenting your diabetic child. Support is only an email away.
